Maggie is a Clinical Psychologist. Maggie works with Children, Adolescents and Adults.
Maggie's approach and therapy style is summarised below:
"I am a Clinical Psychologist with experience working with a range of clients from early childhood to older adults. My therapeutic approach encompasses a combination of playfulness, acceptance, curiosity and empathy for clients, both young and old. I provide a safe and secure environment where adult clients can explore the attachment templates formed in childhood that continue to affect their adult lives and relationships. When working with child and adolescent clients I maintain a collaborative approach with parents that is non-judgemental and respectful. I strive to provide parents with a clear treatment plan for their children and assist them to support the child in the longer term.
I apply a range of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Interpersonal Therapy. My therapeutic approach is person-centred. I seek to provide clients an individualised experience of therapy and draw from the above therapies in order to best meet the needs of the client".
