Emergency Services and First Responders

People from many walks of life can be exposed to potentially traumatic incidents but for Emergency Service personnel or first responders this occurs at almost a daily rate. For Police Officers, Firefighters, Ambulance Officers and Paramedics these traumatic experiences often involve confronting threats to life, and witnessing or experiencing serious injury or death.

The team at Fernandez Psychology have a deep awareness of the challenges police officers face and the psychological consequences associated with the law enforcement work. We provide counselling and treatment services to the Western Australian Police Force and St John Ambulance Paramedics, Ambulance Officers, staff, volunteers and family members.
