Amelia is a Registered Psychologist who has experience in treating children, adolescents, and adults.

 

Amelia has supported clients who have presented with anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem concerns, grief, complex circumstances, adjustment difficulties, neurodiversity, and acute and chronic pain. She has experience working in vocational rehabilitation, highschool, and private practice settings.

 

Amelia is passionate about supporting individuals through a client-centred, non-judgemental, trauma-informed, and neuro-affirmative lens. In the space that she provides for clients, Amelia strongly values and draws on empathy and unconditional positive regard, and she recognises the importance of rapport in the therapeutic relationship as contributed to by her own authenticity. 

 

Evidence-based approaches and interventions that Amelia most often draws from include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and psychoeducation. Amelia has also undergone training in Schema Therapy as incorporated into CBT, Narrative Therapy, and Play Therapy.
