Claire Foster
Registered Psychologist

BA(Hons) MPsychPro

Claire is a generally registered psychologist who works with adolescents and adults. She completed her Master of Psychology (Professional) at Curtin University, and has since worked at Headspace and in private practice. Her approach and therapy style is summarised below:

I am an authentic, warm, and friendly person who values the positive outcomes that come from establishing a safe, collaborative, and non-judgemental therapeutic relationship. I like to work from a strengths-based approach where I get to know each individual and work in a way that best suits them.

I enjoy working with people from all backgrounds and experiences, including LGBTIQA+, culturally diverse, and neurodiverse individuals. I especially have many years of experience working with the LGBTIQA+ community, both as a peer and as a clinician.

I have experience using cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, eye movement desensitisation reprocessing, and schema therapy, and I work using a neurodiversity affirming approach. I like to work with a wide range of mental health presentations, including depression, anxiety, interpersonal concerns, eating disorders, and OCD.
