Ania Michalska is a Registered Psychologist that enjoys working with children (10+), adolescents, and young adults. Ania has previously worked in the education system as a School Psychologist across metropolitan and rural schools and believes that every young person should be given their best opportunity for success. Ania completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at Curtin University and a Graduate Diploma in Education at the University of Western Australia.

Ania’s therapeutic style is summarised below:

“I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship built on warmth, openness and trust in a safe and non-judgemental environment is vital to support individuals growth and recognition of their own strengths. My approach is adapted to each individual's specific goals, supporting clients in using their skills to create positive and meaningful change. I implement a range of evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).

My main focus is to work collaboratively to support clients with achieving their goals. While I offer knowledge and expertise, I recognise that the individual is an expert on their own situation. Together, we build upon their strengths.

I enjoy working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those from the LGBTIQA+, culturally diverse, and neurodiverse communities."
